Towing the B??

Hi All-
Due to a number of odd circumstances, I will be relocating my 76B twice in the next 5 months. The immediate trip is relatively short - just over 100 miles. The second is a good bit longer, just under 1800 miles. (NYC to Denver) I'm planning on a car carrier for the long trip, but wanted to know if a car dolly, or even a tow bar, would be alright for the 100+ mile trip. Any help from those wiser than I would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!

Should be ok, but if you have wire wheels, do not tow the car backwards. Some people recommend disconnecting the drive shaft to prevent the transmission from spining all that distance with improper lubrication.

Thanks Steve. It's got Rostyle wheels, and actually I hadn't even thought about towing it backwards. I seem to remember talk of disconnecting the driveshaft as well. I guess better safe than sorry.
Thank again!

Dolly is fine, do disconnect the driveshaft and make me happy.

Definitely disconnect the driveshaft if you're going to use a dolly...& remember, with the front end up in the air on the dolly, that low rear end is even lower..which means transitioning from street to parking lots will have to be done slowly & cautiously...not bad on 100 mile trip but easy to forget on 1800 miler.
