Towing an LBC on a dolly?

As long as it has steel wheels (no knock offs) you can tow it backwards on a dolly. Some people will flat toe it short distances, but any long distance stuff with the rear wheels on the ground will require the drive shaft to be disconnected to save the tranny.

By the way, wgat was the story with picking up the RWA last week? I guess I missed it.

I haven't mustered up the courage to rehash it in my mind so that I could put it into words. I plan to get it posted this weekend though. It wll be good for a huge laugh I'm sure.

As for the dolly. I think I'll just rent a trailer if I have to make this trip. It looks like about 850 mile round trip and I dont want to work on it in the guys yard.

You really don't need to disconnect the driveshaft on these (my opinion). Only on late model automatics (about 1970 and up) is that required. The oil sloshes around enough on our cars to keep everything lubed for a long trip, I have towed them several thousand miles with no apparent damage so far (several years later).
