Hi guys - on the TR6 I used Richard's full bushing kit which has washers like this that are used in the assembly;

I have TA bushings from BPNW on hand and am not sure if I can use these (Richard says his are recommended) without the washers? The metal sleeves might need a bit of a trim, but mostly fit well.

Track down generic washers once the sleeves have all be perfectly trimmed, or go washer-less?

You can see the washers in the pick below in between the bracket and black bushing.

Tom I have the same setup on my car. The washers pictured are all different in thickness. You can see the numbers in your picture. It's trial and error to get them in the right place. They are used to remove any slop between the bushing and the bracket. Get them so they are just about to get tight, without any binding. The part of the washer that has the indent goes against the sleeve on the inside. Not sure if this answered your question or not.

Hi Keith - thanks for the note.

I've actually installed this kit on the TR6, and am familiar with matching the washer thickness to the bushing sizing, but thanks for the refresher.

What I was trying to ask is if you don't have Richard's unique bushings if you;

1) You could trim the metal sleeves to exact size and run without washers

or

2) Could trim the sleeves and just use standard washers (with right diameter)

Sorry if I could have explained that better originally!

It's been some time since I did the change to my car so it's not fresh in my mind. I did use Richards bushings with my installation. Without any washers I think the sleeve would have to longer than the original. It would have to be as long as the bracket is wide. Then you could install washers that would fit over the sleeve to remove the side movement. I don't think you would want to over thighten the bolt that goes thru the bracket to pull it in tight against the washers.
