BN1 Fuel line path

I'm about to replace some of the hacked together fuel lines on my BN1. First bit I'm replacing is the pipe and banjo assemby that goes between the two carbs and down. The item I'm replacing has a 2 inch down pipe (which I'm sure is wrong) and my replacement part has about a 12 inch downpipe. The issue I have is when I place it in position the down pipe hits the engine mounting bracket so I obviously need to bend it a little. The question is should it pass forward of the engine mount bracket or aft (or even through the hole in the engine mount bracket)?

After that where should the fuel pipe go? Curently it passes under the car which strikes me as a little dangerous given the Healey's ground clearance. Should it pass through the transmission tunnel?

Good day Steve,
The fuel pipe from the banjo on the front carb should should be 15" long and drop straight down close to the front engine plate. There are two set-screws and locknuts which locate the engine mount bracket to the engine front plate. The pipe is anchored to the plate on the lower of these two screws with a "P" clip under the locknut. The "P" clip is similar to those used to locate the wiring loom.
A flexible hose connects the carburettor pipe to the delivery pipe from the fuel pump. This pipe is attached to the inner side of the left chassis rail with "bobby pins" which grip the pipe and are then pushed into holes in the inboard side of the rail, above the wiring loom. The "bobby pins" are similar to those which locate the brake pipe on the RH chassis rail.
The pipe doesn't thread through the engine mount bracket or through the transmission tunnel. When it reaches the rear of the car it is threaded through a gap just in front of one of the batteries on its way to the pump.

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup: I'll be getting my hands dirty at the weekend and hopefully have the car running again after two years 'resting'. Then there's just the dreaded MOT!
