TR2/3/3A TR3 Frame Kit

I just got my kit for my 3 from Revington.

The top pieces gusset the engine mount.
The next 8 pieces gusset the lower fulcrum and plates.
The 2 gussets go over the rear front spring mount pin.
The next 8 pieces gusset the shock mounting plate.
The next 8 gusset the rear spring tube.
The brake line bracket is much heavier than stock.

The kit is complete and the instructions are fairly clear. I think it is more expensive than it needs to be, but I quess I paid for the R&D which is ok with me.

Those two Y shaped pieces are not used on a 3 frame. They are for a 4 with R&P. If somebody can use them, PM me because I have no use for them.

Is this a strengthening kit for rallying?
Revington do seem to be expensive, but they are well worth it as their parts are excellent.

So.... When you weld these into place, how do you jig or freeze the frame into the position(s) and arc(s) that you'd like? If you weld on a frame hoist theoretically you will arc as "centre high", if you weld with a tire style hoist you will weld and "centre flat or low"
Does the kit come with frame support blocks and instructions on placement of the blocks as well as specs?

The kit is the base line kit for fast road. It omits quite a few longitudinal pieces recommended for a rally car. The kit is the same one mentioned in Roger Williams book. Neil Revington also recommends this slight upgrade for road cars.

I'll be installing the kit on a bare, naked frame which Revington recommends. The more advanced upgrades are suggested to be installed at their shop. That's not happening!! I quess if someone had the need and the skill, which I don't, could load the frame as Tomster mentioned but I'm not a racer.

My original frame was toast and the kit addresses each spot where my frame needed attention. I bought it more as an insurance policy for my replacement frame.
