Apparently the Modern Gentleman tag will only really be used in China, which given their recent economic growth has to be the aim for the majority of sales.
A friend of mine works for Denso and travels to various factories around the country. He went to Longbridge the other day and said it was a ghost town. They've stripped it of anything worthwhile, so if cars are going to be built there the whole factory will need refurbing.
As for the cars being made in OK, I think pretty much everyone still considers MG to be a British marque, and the thought of production being outsourced to the colonies...
