I am finalizing adjusting door gaps and rear and front fender alignment and have reached a point where all the doors have an equal gap and proper rear edge alignment (no pooching out).
To achieve this, I shimmed the body to the frame at the four mounts under the cockpit, but needed to place two aluminum shims on the passenger side at the rear of the frame, and only one on the drivers side.
To the casual eye, everything looks OK, but upon critical inspection, one would note the passenger side body sits 1/4 inch higher above the frame.
Is this acceptable practice, or do I need to continue to tweaking the under cockpit shims?
This has been a very frustrating exercise.
