Lookin' good, Tony!
I, like Trevor, noticed some of the rear suspension still attached...springs, spring base plate, radius arm bracket. Are you going to have them sprayed body color? Then hand paint...black?
Brings us a question I've been pondering. I'm replacing the springs on my '62 Sprite as part of the project. They're off and it would be easy to paint them now...question is...how.
If painted whole, there will be some areas that will be exposed (no paint) when flexed; that will eventually rust. If I break them down to individual leaves I could easily Por-15 them or have them powder coated. Two problems I see with that...first, I doubt the paint would last long with constant rubbing due to flex, so back to square one...second, the multiple layers of paint (regardless of method) will add up and could affect the overall dimensions (ever so slightly)...the clearance of the U-bolt is already nil.
I'm leaning toward painting them (Por-15) as a unit and adding "touchup rear springs" to the list when it goes up on the rack for annual maintenance.
Thoughts?
