Two years ago today I was showing up in San Diego to pick up the Tunebug. Fellow BCF member Grantura_mkII had looked the car over (and BCFer tdskip had also offered assistance). So I was confident that I had a good car, and I was proved correct.

The first year was spent doing new wiring and just driving around a bit. This past year started with recoring the radiator, and has morphed into disc brakes and a complete 1275 build by Hap Waldrop. Hopefully I'll be driving again this summer!

Coincidentally, today is also my 3rd anniversary here at the BCF. A huge thanks to all of you who have assisted, loaned tools, traded parts, and otherwise kept me going. Couldn't do it without all of you!

Sadly not possible, Tony. The brakes are on my bench, the rear hubs disassembled, and the motor at Hap's shop. I'll just have to sit out in the little guy and make Vroom Vroom noises.

Yup, you should start on those projects while the weather is cold so that you'll be looking down the home stretch when the weather breaks.

I'm blocked right now by the need to get the bonnet off. I've got a couple friends at work who have agreed to assist, but I need to get all our times lined up. Maybe later in the week...

Very cool Drew, you have lots of great times ahead in the very near future too!

I agree about this place, though I've only been around about a year now it really feels like home.

sounds like someone is procrastinating...

Isn't there some saying about necessity being the mother of invention? You need to get started now because you need a long driving season so invent a way to remove the bonnet.

...not that I'm trying to pressure you.

I'm the guy that didn't want to wait for help in assembling my lift so I did it myself (without a hoist). It took longer and required some scrap timber and some head scratching but in the end it got done and I did it myself.

So, I'm officially exerting peer pressure. Do it!

Yeah, my excuse is that I will have the new slave cylinder here on Thursday. So if I am not too tired after work, I will get it in, hopefully, get it all bled. MIght even take her out for a late night run. AAhh, on second thought, maybe a daylight run for the first time might be better.

Still have to get the new sending unit from Kim in as well.

The years fly by, Tom. Now I just need to get it running again.
