.....this little BGT was put away.
Today, she roared.

The mandatory "She's Alive!!" video...

The horrendous noise is due to the fact that she was running with just a header.
Although it idles and revs all the way up, the rpm's do surge a little, maybe about 300 rpm over the course of a wavelength.
Oil press around 50 or 60, temp normal, timing is eratic, but estimated at static; all rather good really.
Anyway, more hydraulics tomorrow, now she runs, I hope she's able to stop at some point.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
Thanks to Mike and Chris from the club.

Barry,
Nice to see a face to the name. I got a big chuckle out of the champagne. Great job and good luck.

California Jeff. Korbel's finest Brut.
It was a fun day actually, 3 MG guys with wives away and a fridge full of frothy. I was nagging for an extra pair of hands and wisdom.
I do have a couple of concerns with it, but considering it's been 16 years, even with a little starting fluid, she started up and settled down. Such forgiving cars.

Mazel Tov! It's great to see renewed life in an LBC! She looks like a nice little gal, too.

I posted positive comments on the video too!

There be bits in that car from Tony and Vince, a whole lot of knowledge and wisdom from this forum, so this isn't a 'me' accomplishment at all.
Just another great and exciting example of the forum bringing parts and brains together. Cheers to you all.
