Hello, all. Happy New Year!! I'm a newbie to this forum and AH ownership. I've had the pleasure of being a Jaguar E-Type owner for about 6 years, and have now branched out in the LBC arena to purchase my first AH. I've competed my Jags in concours, rally & slalom. This beautiful new BJ8 is a better restoration level than I'm used to, but I'll try to keep it off a trailer one way or another.

The 1967 BJ8 I bought has been totally restored and just needed to have a new home. I will pick it up next Friday if all goes well. I'm hoping that this list will be a source of guidance to me as well as a place to make some new friends. Thanks for listening!

Cheers,

Hi Ginger,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new purchase. I wear a helmet also, but only when I drive on the freeway. In August I also strap on the bulletproof vest. It’s a Southern California thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Hi, Reid,

I don't have any proper photos to post yet, but I will. I will proably also join the Tampa Bay club, which is a great bunch of folks. I'm very lucky to have a great technician for my LBCs -- Paul Tsikuris. Right now, I'm heavily involved in the Jag Club in Orlando. here's that website: www.catdriver.org

In the meantime, here's a picture of my 66 XKE.

Ginger - Great looking car and welcome to the forum - a great bunch of people. I believe you and Reid have something in common - Paul , if I am not mistaken Paul worked on Reid's cars when Reid was living in Florida

Indeed! I was president of that club in 1987, the year we started the Southeastern Classic series (held it at Sebring, and drove on the track!), and the All British Field Meet & Autojumble, which continues to this day as the mainstay on the club; I'm thinking about traveling there this year for its 20th anniversary.

I know Paul well, and yes, you are lucky indeed!

Good eyes...in the photo, I was lined up for the parade at the end of the Lake Mirror Classic show. :-D

I've been to the All British show several times. It's less than an hour from home. I'll see you there this year, if you can make it.

Welcome to the forum Ginger.

You have a great mechanic in Paul. Knew him when Agatha was still in pieces and had him do some work on her engine and driveshaft. Agatha is now in New Mexico and purring like a kitten or a good Healey should.

Happy Tooling.
