Okay, so I'm going senile. Never had to replace it in the 35 years I've had this 66' E-Type Roadster. Where is the Brake Light Pressure Switch located??? Can't find it listed anywhere in the Shop Manual, and I don't see it in the evident places. My rear brake lights are staying on and I bught a new switch. Now, just to find the old one. E-mail if you can help.

Under the servo to the inside. It is attached to the bulkhead by a right angle bracket. The real problem is getting a quality replacement. I went through three aftermarkets before finding a NOS Lucas switch.

Alan,

Thanks, I'll check this out tomorrow. I got my replacement from Welch. Guess I'll see how good it is. So, what type E-Type do you maintain?

Mike,
I have a 1964 E-Type Roadster that I have owned since 1973 and a 1967 S-Type that I have sold and bought back twice. The S-Type is the black one in the Pics section. I maintain about thirty MKI's,II's,IX's,140's,150's and E-Types.

Alan,

Found it, but on the 66' it was on the front sub-frame in front of the alternator and right behind the radiator. That was the problem; I'll see how good this replacement is.

I had a 63' navy blue E-type roadster before this one. Wish I would have hung onto that one also. Besides the Jag., my real love is an MGA.

Interesting. My 3.8 car has it where you described your switch to be. I changed one in a 67 E-Type recently and it was near the servo.
