I remember that commercial; my first sportscar was a (new) Blaze 1973 MGB.

"MGB gets a jump on the competition" (or something like that).

Yes, I've seen that one before. I also heard that the MG that was dropped could not be driven and had to be flat towed back to the factory. The identical car was sitting waiting for the driver. That explains the "quick" cut away from when it landed to the time the driver took off.
However, there has been times when I felt like throwing my Healey out of an airplane.

In the "MGs in America" video, they talked at one point about this commercial. The first was crashed, parachute didn't deploy I think. They claimed it on insurance.
