Another quick question for those more wise than me. I have been reassembling my front suspension components the last two days and I have been trying to get the front brakes setup. I purchased new cylinders and new pads. The components are identical to the originals. Whenever I try to place the drum over the new shoes, despite having the adjusters all the way in, it is a difficult squeeze and I can not budge the drum around by hand. When I place the old shoes back on the drum rotates freely. I dont really appreciate a significant difference in pad thickness. I just bought the new ones as the old were starting to chip off on the edges. These are shoes from Moss and they are the correct set. Has anyone else had binding problems like this with new Moss brakes? WIll they just wear in when I get the car moving someday?
