Here is a fuzzy photo of the basic setup.
Basically, the velcro strip is first glued to the frame so that the velcro part is on the outer flat surface of the frame itself. The two black vinyl wings on this velcro strip are glued on the bottom of the frame and on the inside of the frame. I use the 3M yellow adhesive in a tube. You will have to use a sharp punch to re-locate the holes in the frame that are used to bolt the aluminum U-channel. Make sure that the velcro strip is glued smooth and tight.
This, of course, will act to velcro the edges of the actual convertible top. Next, the aluminum channels are bolted with the provided miniature bolts and nuts. Watch for clearance when the top hinges with these aluminum channels and adjust fore and aft accordingly before tightening down. The rubber sealing strip might (not might, for sure) need a little soapy water lubricant to get them in.
