Overflow bottle

I am restoring a 1965 TR4A IRS and have a question about the radiator overflow bottle. Does anyone have a photo showing the mounting location for the bracket that they could post. I can't seem to find where it is supposed to go. Thanks.

My 64TR4 (made in early 65) had one but I cannot remember which side it was on.

Is your's on the drivers or passenger's side? Three of the pics look like passenger side, one looks like drivers side.

Mine is on the the driver's side, because that's the direction the radiator neck outlet points. For function, it doesn't matter, and if a radiator was rebuilt/replaced it could easily have changed sides.

Agree with TR4eh. After having my radiator re-cored, I could have sworn the radiator neck outlet had pointed forward and to the right (but as you can see here, it's rearward and to the right).

Oh my, Jay, nicely done. What did you use for that rubber-looking strip, that keeps the bonnet stay from scratching up your wheel well?

My bottle is located on the passenger side.

Looks like a magnet to me, nice idea. You can remove it when needed.

Mine is passenger side mounted under radiator mount to the front. The radiator neck outlet points forward to the right. Mine is also much dirtier. You guys have some good looking engine bays.

Yes, definitely passenger side and under the radiator mount like Richard's and the radiator neck is pointing forward and to the right.

Huh. Now I wonder if some radiator repair shop turned my filler neck 180 degrees. Its a TR radiator (stamping has "Coventry") but the overflow points back and towards the driver's side. Your picture makes more sense to me.

That rubber strip is just some scrap I had around from another project. I have it glued where it is - a removable refrigerator magnet type of piece would be (without a doubt) a better idea.
My bottle was on the right hand side and the 4A I had back in the sixties was on that side too as I recall.

Thank you all for the pictures and the comments. I am pretty sure that armed with the feedback and the photos, I should be able to get the new bracket mounted and located correctly. The car did not have the bracket when I got it. I do have the original bottle that was in a box of parts from when someone else tried to start the disassembly. Thanks again.
