Sequence

Getting close on the new Whitephrog. I need to install the ribbed rubber door liners, install the door hardware, install the doors, install the windscreen and install the bonnet.

I have a BMC mechanic friend coming over to help me get the engine tweaked and started. My question is regarding sequence. I don't want to install the bonnet until the engine is up and running. Can I install the windscreen now without interfering with the ultimate installation of the bonnet or should I be patient and wait?

Ray, going to need two hands to install the windscreen and not scrape your new paint. Going to need two hand better yet three to install the bonnet.

I've got the hands on stand by for the windscreen and bonnet. I'd like to go ahead and install the windscreen but I don't want to make the bonnet installation more difficult in doing so.

Windscreen in place shouldn't matter for the bonnet install -- as long as you are careful with the install. I had two helpers plus myself to install the bonnet, went smooth and easy.

Definetly put the windscreen in (you and at least one other person, three would be nice for downward pressure)before mounting the bonnett. This is a (frustrating)job with new rubber. I found a few tongue blades are nice to have around while doing the install, put them under the rubber on the front and they will help you uncurl and lay the gasket down flat without damaging the paint, just slide them along then pull out when everything is in place.

Okay... so do I attach the pillars to the frame first or do I attach the pillars to the bulk head, then attach the frame to them.
