I am getting tired of working on things that I know have to be done, but don't make it look very different from what it looked like before I started. I would like to do something that would make it look more like a car! I hope that makes sense to some one out there.
I would like to install the windscreen. What does anyone feel that the assembly sequence should be? Stanchions first then what?
Your thoughts as always, greatly appreciated.

The way I do it, the stanchions are almost the last thing to be assembled to the windscreen (only thing after that are the little plates that hold the lower seal to the stanchions). Then the entire assembly is mounted on the car.
 
So you bench assemble it, then mount it on the car. Good thing my favorite helper is coming back from her trip to Texas today. Thanks Randall.

Don't despair............ all the little things that don't REALLY show really DO make a HUGE difference when your car is complete. The very worst thing is to look at something and say.Gee, I wish I had done...........before I put that back on. Based on your post I do not think that will ever be the case for you but I know how frustrating it can be no to see any major advances. Wait till you get to the interior. That seems to go fairly quickly and the results are large and give big smiles!
Onward to the windscreen. Best way IMO is to mount the complete assembly. You are right, a second pair of hands is essential and be sure to tape all around the mounting brackets so you do not ruin new paint as you slide it back. Might take some coaxing with a block of wood and a rubber mallet.
