BE door installation sequence

So... on a Bugeye do you put the hinge on the body first or the hinge on the door first? If it's the door on the body first, is there any tips on the attachment of the door to the hinge?

Getting down to the nitty-nits. Installing the doors, bleeding the brakes and clutch, lubricating the steering rack and installing the exhaust pipe is essentially all that's left.

On the Midget, I put the hinges on the door first since, at least on mine, the adjustment is in the jambs. When I installed the door itself, I put only one bolt top and bottom till everything was adjusted and then put in the second bolts. To adjust, I actually used a breaker bar with an extension and socket, then I could - with one hand - loosen, adjust and tighten (I'm talking 1/2 a turn here) without changing the direction of a ratchet. Also, tape the edges of the door and the body, don't ask me how I know.

As Jack said and take off the latch and any weather strip. Adjust the door so it is even at the top, then adjust the hinges in or out to get them flush. And double what Jack says on the tape, like all around.
