I fit my BJ8 to the rear bumper mounts and the front steering mounts, and used the two engine mount approach. A couple of cautions there, though. The typical engine mounts are a bit low, so I extended them so that the axis is approximately even with the center axis of the chassis. Also, be sure that the rotation of the mounts is horizontal under load. If not, the whole thing will not rotate. I've been pleased with the result, as is the body shop that just finished painting the chassis, using the rotisserie I made. Just be careful not to work under your own creation, and warn others as well. Over-engineering aside, it's just not worth the risk of having all that mass sitting on home-made apparatus. So always have an escape route.
