Trevor,
I made a structure that allows the frame to be rotated at 90 degree increments and it is for the frame structure without the fenders, shroud etc. With the frame attached you could, with help, rotate the entire car on either side. I made it out of 1 1/2" tubing and conduit. I would include a picture but I have not had any luck including pictures in my posts. I could get dimensions to you if you think this is something you could use. Hope this helps and have a good day!

I previously used one from Accessible Systems, when I was doing some extensive work on a Triumph GT6. At that time (roughly ten years ago), it cost about $900.00. It was the version with the hydraulic jacks (recommended).

Considering the cost of materials and the labor required, I would not waste my time trying to build one and would just get the store-bought model.

Remember, your safety is paramount, so please don't take any risks to save a few hundred dollars.

My friend made one out for wood following a pattern in one of the Healey national mags about a dozen years ago. He used it on two AH cars and now it has passed to another couple of MG owners. It has always had a car on it all these years and its still going strong. I think the biggest expense was the 4 wheels. I have seen it and it looks good. However, you cannot rotate it. He made it for well under $200.

Hi guys, I'm pretty cheap so I made one out of two engine stands. One was store bought the other a homemade version. I put swivel casters on all three legs for convenience. Fixture bolts to the original bumper brackets front and rear. Rotates 360 deg without the the shrouds and fenders. It served me well on an MGB project several years ago, and now the BN4 is on it. If I can remember how to post a picture i will attach some.
