"50 Years of Midgets - A Spridget Event" UPDATE

<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'"><span style="font-size: 12pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">Spridgeteers,

This is to let you know that we have had to change the event dates.... NASCAR has overbooked us both at Road America and all the area hotels...etc. The cheeseheads are meeting tomorrow with the headquarters hotel and Road America to secure new dates - probably a week or two earlier... We understand that this may be a problem for you vacation wise... Sit tight for now as we should have the new dates within the week. If it means that you can no longer attend, we will gladly refund any fees paid and you can cancel your hotel room without penalty.

We are terribly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. Believe me, it is no fun for the organization committee either!

Thank you thank you thank you for taking our concerns seriously. (even if it isn't the most fun thing you've had to do all week!) I appreciate it. I hope and trust there will be a way to get us in one hotel if at all possible?

thanks again for you care

Thanks guys for your work in making this the best birthday ever

No one could has suspected that we would be in a war with NASCAR of all people. Moving the venue or time is the best option. Being spread out over 50 sq. miles would definatly take away from our event. Maybe in our negotiations we can get better rates from RoA

See you all in June

Phil

The determining factor for me will be whether this is happening before my son gets out of school for the year. The old date was perfect - I think any earlier will mean school would still be in session.
Unfortunately I've gotten him excited about the idea of driving across country with me, I hope it works out so that we can still do it.

Jack - there also was a second place winner in the vote. I wonder if moving the venue was ever considered?

Somehow I missed the first date, I hope the new one works into my schedule.

Keeep in mind earlier in WI means chillier. Most folks don't put boats in the water in Lake Michigan until after Memorial Day.
