Girling Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap

I need a Girling res cap for the 2-out can reservoir that provides fluid for the brakes and the clutch. I can't seem to find one. Moss sent me one that is the right size, but there are hardly any threads in the cap. It will not 'catch' a thread and go on. Looks like Chinese crappola.
Again, on the BN6 I do not have the individual res on each master, but the large black can with 2 outlets below. Do I need to buy from England?

Try Autofarm in Canada. They get their parts from the UK.

Have you tried taking the big rubber thingy out and just use a plain rubber ring gasket? #582-500

The rubber seal is not in the way. The cap just does not have the proper threads; they are almost nonexistent.

There are two different caps Moss has. 596-211 and 596-212. I don't know the difference but maybe the other one would work. If the threads on the reservoir are bad, maybe a new reservoir. I would still try the lid without the rubber.

The 211 is for the one master with it's own res. The 212 is supposedly for the larger can with 2 out. I got the 212...it isn't my reservoir that has an issue , it has strong pronounced threads. The 212 cap is made in China and hardly has any threads at all and will not 'catch'.
It will probably work on the Chinese made reservoir they sell but I'd rather not do that.
I sadly used my old cap to make a pressure cap for my MOTEX pressure bleeder. It seals well and will hold the 20 lb psi with no issue. I figured sourcing a cap would be no issue...I was wrong. The threads on my old cap are nicely pronounced too...the Moss cap is a very sad deal.
