Not for purists
Since my engine building skills are limited; (and I have a brother that is a mechanic) I'm nearly done with my portion of the engine rebuild on my TR3a, and I'm looking at the bodywork that will have to be done on the car. My car was in a front-end accident and therefore I have only one front fender and both inner fenders have some good dents.
By my estimation I'll have to cut out the inner fenders to repair or replace them (chassis is fine). This got me thinking (As I have a AH Bugeye) has any anyone seen a TR3 with a steel tilt front end? Can it be made to work? I just saw a fiberglass tilt on another forum, but that fabrication seems like too much work. Since my goal for the car is to have it look like a vintage street racer, I thought this might be a interesting modification. Your thoughts? Can it be done?
