TR2/3/3A I cannot get my TR3 in correct timing.

Small movement made to the distributor and car will not run. Move in the opposite direction car runs and bachfires.

Where do I Start?

Has the car has been running well? If so, have you done anything on the car before this started happening. It's always that last thing you fixed! Shooting in the dark guess would be plug wires out of order (at the cap or on the plugs).

Something is very wrong, and it's nearly impossible for us to say much without actually seeing the car. This could be as simple as misadjusted points or, as Bob says, incorrectly connected plug wires. Do you know of anyone who can look at the car and help?

Cracked cap/cross wired, Remember 1342 ....

If you have the old British cap, pull it up and look at the order of the lugs inside because they can be confusing the way the wires install in the cap.

If you want help. The best way to get it is to answer the questions that other posters like Bob have asked of you. When I do not see any answers I can only assume you have moved on and do not care to get any further answers or advice.

Never forget the old racers trick, 1 tie wrap on #1 ,2 ties on# 2, 3 ties on #3 now you can't
muck it.
