That will take you to an archived list of the site's pages, sorted by year. There you might have to poke around to find the maintenance section. It's there, I can assure you. If you find the index or home page, the pages internal links to the maintenance section are active. If a password request pops up, don't worry. That's inactive and you can just click it away.
There are several articles detailing how to convert to an alternator and giving specifics for different cars. I put a Delco #7127-3 in my TR4, using some minor modifications of existing mounting brackets. The only other thing I needed to do was add heavier wiring to carry the 60+ amps (actually it tested to 76 amps at 2000 rpm) and change the car to negative ground (see how to do that on vtr.org archived pages, too).
