TR2/3/3A Suspension choices, rubber vs poly

I seem to have a kit with rubber and poly, I think after reading posts, I was worried about new rubber breaking down too soon and may have ordered both. Now I have a choice, do you like rubber or poly? And if poly, do you use synthetic grease to lube the parts?
This is going on a TR3A.
I already ruined one of the bushings on the lower wishbone when I was using the press to put them in place. bent it before the old one broke loose. I should have pushed the old one out first. After 53 years, I bet it had a bit of rust holding it in place.

Monday, I am going to finish painting the substructure and post a picture. Wait till you see the color!!

I have tried both, but went back to the rubber for stock suspensions. The ride is better, and I never saw a durability improvement with the poly...of course, I may have been pushing the poly bushings harder.

I tried to delete this post yesterday. I finally found a different discussion about this topic in the forum. I am not sure I made up MY mind, but I have enough information.
Now if the reaming of a bushing would just go faster!

Hi Jerry

I had bushings installed and reamed to size at the machine shop. Was cheap and they did a great job.
I also have a big tube of the white grease that you'll probably want to use on the suspension if you go poly- you're welcome to use it (it's a lifetime supply).

Thanks Art, I wasn't positive, so didn't respond.
Glad you had that diameter at your fingertips.

I have a reamer and finished mine yesterday. takes a while, since you can only scrape off a little at a time or the bushing turns. But when you get done, it is shiny and fits. I still have the spring pan which does not fit the bolt posts on one side. It seems to be off by about 1/16 of an inch to the inset posts toward the inside of the car. I have not decided what to do about that, so I will work on the other side.
