Roll up window replacement - advise needed

As a Xmas present to myself I'm replacing my chipped and scratched window glass (L & R) on my BJ8. Besides the glass, what other items should I be ordering - probably from Moss. The windows work just fine (a bit sticky going up and down) and as far as I can tell there's nothing broken, so there isn't any reason to replace the linkage or rolling mechanism. But perhaps there are other parts that wear over time that should be replaced when the glass is removed from the frames? Please advise.

Just one thought. When reattaching the door top rails, make sure you use the correct length screws in the proper holes, especially towards the rear of the rails. Too long screws will immediately scratch a new window when is rolled up and down. No need to ask why I know this.

The nylon guides which are only replaceable when you take the glass out.

Yes the nylon glides shoild be replaced if dicolored or broken. However, the frame itself must be disassembled to replace the bottom one,-----Keoke

Don't waste your money on the " packing " strips that are sold by our usual suspects to install the new side windows into the metal frames. Just use some strips of rubber made from old inner tubes or an old wire wheel rim band or buy a new bicycle inner tube and cut it into strips if you don't have any old inner tubes on hand.
Soak the strips with oil before assembly. The glass will seat into the metal pieces without tearing the rubber strips unlike what happens when you try to use the products purchased from our usual suspects. Once the glass is seated into the metal frame pieces, trim the excess rubber off with a new razor blade. It makes for a neat job and it holds the glass very well.
