Poly suspension bushings

I desperatly need to replace all my suspension bushings. I am looking at "Energy Suspension" products but can't find anyone who has them for a 79 Midget.
Has anyone installed these and where did you get them?

I haven't looked yet, but in case you haven't already I would cross post this question in the "Spridget" (Healey Sprite/MG Midget) section. You would probably get more responses that way.

With that out of the way, have you looked into Moss Motors, Victoria British, Brittek, or any of the other 'usual suspects' for these bushing kits? I assume "Energy Suspension" bushings are polyurethane. Does it have to be made by them or would a comparable product work as well? If something comparable will work, I'm sure all of the major suppliers sell poly bushes for Midgets.

If you really want the best bushings, look into Superflex. Most poly bushings are molded. Superflex are machined from a single piece of stock so the fit and precision is perfect. They also come is different shore ratings for each position on the car, so you get performance where you need it and damping where it is best.

ted schumacher (TSI Automotive) in pandora ohio sells poly suspension kits for spittys and b's. maybe he has something for your midget? they have a website and have been very helpful to me with my tr7 suspension questions. he sells two piece poly bushings that are easy to install.

The front leaf spring eye is impossible to install without a press. The rest should slide right in. Sometimes you get a pivot hole that is corroded or warped, and in that case it's a pain to install a poly bushing because they don't flex as much as rubber. But the hole should be made straight and smooth before putting the bushing in anyway to allow proper rotation.

Superflex bushings ride on stainless sleeves, so ensuring the pivot hole is clean and round is especially important to take advantage of their smoothness. You can also run into fit problems on cheaper molded bushings that aren't a precise or uniform size.
