lower wish bones...

Ok, I have a front sway bar that's waiting for me to put it on. I have a '76 'B. In order for it to mount to the suspension I need to change the lower front wish-bones on both sides. Do I have to replace the lower rear wish bones too?

I just want to make sure the only difference between the sway bar and non-sway bar 'B is the front lower wish bone. I'd hate to order the parts to find out that the rear lower wish bones need to be replaced due to size differences...

I think you will find that the only diference in wishbone arms is that the swaybar type has a larger bolthole to accomodate the swaybar endlink.

Front lowers are the only ones you'll have to change. You could probably just drill the ones you have rather than buying new ones. I've never tried it but it seems simple enough. Maybe somebody else here has done that and can chime in.

I just redid my front suspension, and used the negative camber a arms. these had the holes for the sway bar on the front wish bone, but not the holes for the spring pan, like my old ones. I just used larger bolts where the sway bar went. But, the point of the post is that these hole in the A arms are re-inforced with a bit of steel welded to the A-arm and the hole going through it as well. Just drilling a hole might work, but it might also wallow out fairly quick.
