T-Series GT Rear Quarter Window Catches

The GT I got from the Barnhill estate already had new headliner and pillar trim mounted, and there's no way to tell where the toggle catches for the popout windows mount. Anyone have measurements for locating the two mounting screws so I don't have to poke holes all over the new material?

Thanks,
Mickey

Did Tony glue it down? On my 68 I can still lift the edge enough to look under it as the panel is only held on with clips.

However, I did go out and measure. I don't know how to add a photo here yet, but this is what I came up with.

If you go up to the seam on the edge of the lip of the hatch opening, and measure down to from that seam to the top screw hole - it should be 6 1/8". The bottom hole in the toggle should fall at 7".

BTW, can you post photos here?

Thanks, Bob.

Not sure how the panel is fastened, but I can pull it out far enough to get my finger behind it. Can't feel any holes where the latch should mount. How far from the edge of the panel are the screws?

For posting pictures, there are a couple options. One is to link to Photobucket or the like, if you have them there. The other is to attach them as files. There are instructions accessible on the left side of your display where it says "Help & Information" - "FAQ" (Frequently Asked Questions).

Also, check Basil's tutorial here:

Could you poke with a sewing needle?

That's a good thought, but the panel material under the vinyl feels like either very thin metal, or something other than just cardboard. Not sure a needle would penetrate it.
