Facet fuel pump question

I have a stock 1960 bugeye, 948CC engine. I'd like to replace the mechanical fuel pump with an electric one to improve reliability. I've been looking at the Facet pumps, but I'm not sure which to get. There are two, with back-off pressures of 2-4 PSI and 3-4.5 PSI. (I know, the catalogs are not terribly consistent on what the pressures are, but the Facet website is a bit clearer, and gives these numbers.) My mechanical pump backs off at 3.0 PSI. So, do I get the 2-4 pump and run the risk that it might be near 2 PSI, thus too low, or should I get the 3-4.5 and risk that it might be too high? Or, finally, should I get the 3-4.5 and a regulator? I'd like to avoid using the regulator, since it seems like overkill for this car. Suggestions?

Im not a big fan of the Facet/Purolator (whatever company they got sold to this week) type "transformer looking" fuel pump but they seem to be trouble free....

Get the 3-4 psi unit and mount it in the rear as low as possible to the fuel tank pickup.

Use the Holley 12-804 adjustable regulator and set it at 2.5 psi with the motor running. Mount it up by the carburetors on the front bulkhead away from exhaust heat.

Any electric pump you use needs pressure regulation with the low pressure carbs like the S.U. or Weber.

Jerry, I just bought a Holley 12-804 and it has 2 out ports. I am thinking I might have picked up the wrong one.

Should I return it and get the Holley regulator with 1 out port and then connect that line to the first SU carb, and then onto the 2nd SU carb--like they did OE?

Or should I keep the 2 out port regulator and have a direct line to each SU--which I believe is not how they did it OE?

Mustafa, you can just plug one of the outlets, use it for a pressure gauge, or run a separate line to each carb. All of the above work just fine.
