Well after a long journey which started in Dec 10 and a few time set backs, My 2.7L TR6 engine project is coming to completion, I will be traveling to NY next week with trailer in tow to pick up my engine. The Crankshaft lightening, nitriding and balancing took an extra 6 weeks that were not planned for, and a fouled up cam shaft bearing last week pushed the delivery but only 3 more days. so stay tuned! Pics and dyno results coming,

Hondo, Glad to hear all is going well and you seem to be getting all you wanted in the performance part.
Your car will look awesome. Don't get in a hurry and scratch any of the finished parts.
Wish I could help, but Doc won't let me lift over 10 pounds for another month.

well dyno day is over engine is safely home and here are the results, after messing with the triple webers seems the calculations were off and they ran lean but after switching out some jets we got it running in the 11-12 range for breaking in the cam then we did several pulls 4000, 4500,5000,5500
the torque was 182 foot pounds and the HP was 182, we were going to pull at 6000 and 6500 but seems the crmoly push rods couldnt handle the revs and started getting valve float, as a note Kai didnt supply the push rods, the HP was still climbing at 5500 and Kai thinks we could have got close to 200HP, I am getting a set of Kai's CrMoly pushrods at .083 thick. He feel very confident I can push his engine to 6500 rpm,

Here is the builder of my engine and transmission and OD
Kai at Wishbone classics,in Carmillus NY I am very impressed with him and his knowledge of British engines! You want all you can get! call Kai

I am beat since I drove thru the night but I will get some pics and a link to the video
I cant wait to get this monster on the road

180 ft lbs is a lot of torque in a TR-6. You must be very happy with those numbers. Heck, I always though 150 or so would be a good number to strive for!

Nice job, keep the shiny side up.

Now that you have flywheel numbers, it would be good to now get the car on a chassis dyno when its all back together and see just what the drivetrain loss is. Do you still have the u-jointed halfshafts or did you also install CV's?
