What a great feeling. Following a complete transmission and engine overhaul, bumped CR to 9.5 and a GP2 cam, rebuilt carbs, starter, and she runs.

It took a few cranks, then enrich the carbs, adjust the idle a little higher, and she fired off. A little rough until I got the carbs closer to being balanced, then it purred at 900 rpm. I am really stoked. A bit more work to do then a 2000 rpm twenty minute run in. Wow, what a great feeling.

Now to get back to body work

I can think of few car restoration/repair tasks that are more rewarding and more nerve-racking than starting an engine after a rebuild. I'm glad yours went well and I completely understand the stoked feeling. Go treat yourself, you deserve it!

Not good to start it and stop before the 20 minute break in period Ray
