I hate Tinster.

Only because he (apparently) already has his Crypt Car up and running and mine is still on four jack stands. There just ain't enough hours in the day.

I finally got in a gear-reduction starter that looks like it might work. TSI-Automotive sent me a model that required an adapter plate, that I had to grind on.

Soon, very soon.

Yeah, it's about time the Tinster got some seat time in the TR. He said movies by 11:00 this AM, but we haven't seen this yet. That's OK with me, I hope they're really enjoying themselves after getting Crypty straightened out.

No, really, Bill. I'm sorry for ya. But, you guys are
still way ahead of me. Finally got my car back with a
new top on. Hey, big deal for me. Now I've got to deal
with the ride. Steering wheel starts to jump up and down
somewhere around 60 to 70 mph. Don't think it's too
serious, at least I hope not. 50 to 55 is pretty cool;
then it starts to shimmy in the wheel (up and down) and
then smooths out way more after 70. Wierd!

on Crypty.

Not counting all the brief minutes of
white knuckles, cold sweat break downs.

If Crypty can get of 4 jack stands, any car
is capable. Send David a PM and he'll have you
up and running in no time at all.

The oldest guy on the forum would have to be me.. My first LBC, a TR3 was only two years old in 1961. I was 23. I discovered that a TR3 wasn't a wise choice for an everyday driver in Milwaukee Wisconson. Winters are rough.

I found my first LBC in early 1965. It was a 1964 TR4, I was 19, and it was my everyday driver in Madison, Wisconsin.
