HIF carb info request

I have recently aquired a HIF carb that is mated to an autorotor supercharger (similar to a hi-flow from australia ... except not quite I dont belive) it had no instructions ... its fully installed except for the oil lines and the vacuum and fuel input ... I have no idea which hoses go where in this regard. If any one has a exploded diagram or notes that would help me out i would appreciate it .. I will post a picture in a minute.

OH and one other thing i need to staticly time this before i fire it up.. except there is no timing marks on this new crank pulley. what is the best way to do this. without pulling the pulleys off ( very important as I had to remove steering to get th crank pulley on ).
All info appreciated,
D

Bob,

The "bowl vent" as you have it...is it a fire waiting to happen? My bowl vents are connected via a Y and return to the charcoal cannister. I know a lot of them are disconnect when the car are desmogged, but shouldn't they be vented below and away?

As far a making your timing mark, I'd manually mark the wheel with a etching tool or dremmil blade after manually moving the piston to TDC. A little white chalk or pencil in the groove will make it easier to see with a timing light. This is not to hard to do, especially if you have the head off, but accuracy is less than perfect.

Yes, Bruce you are correct and it is something I should do to be perectly safe. I used to have it hooked up but for some reason left it open the last time I worked in that area. I have had it that way for some time and there would have to be a spark right there but there is a chance and I shouldn't take the chance. I will look for the connection that came off there and route it properly.
Thanks,
Bob
