So I picked it up this afternoon, and in the 90 degree temp drove it home with hardtop on -how else to get the ht home- and after 20 +/- fun, sweaty miles, coming up my street to park in front of the house, IT DIED /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Seems to be electrical because the starter wouldn't engage and the brake & turn signal lights are out. After a few minutes trying to explain to duhwifey that LBC's do these kind of things, there was contact with the starter and up we went to park it. So now, this is wired very much like a late 50's TR, AH or MG...depending on which Lucas design fault Daimler wanted to incorporate.( PO converted to neg ground) I have not even opened the bonnet to check fuses, so there are myriad possibilities. Yep Dart, Check all the wiring at the starter,at the solenoid and of course the Ground strap as a starter.Also make sure when running you do not feel a temperature rise in the Ignition switch.A loose connector here can give you a fit. Starter switches seem to be bullet proof.--Fwiw---Keoke-OH! unrelated but change oil regularly V8 is one dirty little engine ,but sweeeet-Oh my gosh yes!

Indeed it is!!!! Ran to the grocery store with the top down and the sound bouncing back off the overhead trees is almost orgasmic. PO suggests tracing the white wire from ignition to coil to dizzy and related grounds, and that is probably best place to start. In our present 90+ temps, and with the heat that builds in the bay, everything feels hot! I will, however, try feeling under the switch for unusual heat.
