the Dental surgey guy can see me in the morning at 8. Oh joy joy. two wisdom teeth. There goes my smarts.

One is cracked and the other has a big hole. Thought I was going to have to wait till mid Jan. This is great.

Not the best of all possible Christmas presents I guess, but at least a good reason to load up on the egg nog to dull the pain. Don't worry, those things really don't have anything to do with your smarts, that's caused by other things!

AH!! Wisdom Teeth...
I had mine pulled more than 25 years ago!
(I guess that explains my lack of wisdom...)

Just remember that IF they give you Tylenol w Codeine DON'T take it on an empty stomach! (I did & I was "calling Ralph on the big white telephone" for days afterwards...)

Also, don't be surprised if your chest is sore afterwards, right in the middle of your breast plate. That's where some demtists rest their elbow (i.e. fulcrum point) as they pry out the wisdom teeth.

How did you get through the USAF without them taking them already?

I was in less than a year and the USAF took all four of mine!

And due to the yearly requirement to have a dental appointment, I have kept doing that since I retired. I try to schedule it on my birthday! At least that way I can remember when it is! :wink:

Took my 15 year old daughter in today to get all 4 of hers yanked. Took about 20 minutes and no big deal (even she said so). Take courage from that.

The doc said I had the option of being knocked out. Should of took him up on it. It really wasn't too bad, but boy did he pull!! Just be ready for that and you will be ok.

Just picture them with one knee on your chest and two hands on the pliers...just kidding.
I went for the being knocked out on all except for the last one. They did one side at a time.
Only seemed like a few seconds ticked by and they had a hard
time convincing me it was all done and over with when I woke up. It's not that bad.

Don't forget that NOW is the time to convince your wife that hourly doses of Ice Cream were recommended by your dentist for a speedy recovery!!

You should be able to get a nice Egg Nog flavored Ben & Jerry's. Top it with a splash of rum & you'll be one "happy camper"!
