Drove my Midget to work and water leaked out

It seemed like a nice day so I decided to drive my Midget to work today. As I am leaving it in the parking space I notice a suspicious wet trail along my route into the parking lot. A quick look underneath and there was plenty more leaking out. Hmmm :madder:

No time to look then but I started it up at lunch after adding more water and no obvious signs of a leak when it is not hot. There are water stains on the rotor cap / plug wires / heater shelf so could it be a head gasket failure spraying water out that side??

Will know more when I dive it the 6 miles home. And to think, I almost drove the GT today. :wall:

I imagine a hose. once themostate opens and pressure is applied to water system it will blow out the water again.

Leave your cap 1/2 turn open and water pressure will not build up as bad and you will be able to geet the car home with out blowing steam and drowning out electronics

I'd rather be driving it.

I hate FIXING my car. I don't mind improvements or upgrades, but a can't stand fixing something that worked fine yesterday. To me, it should still be working and this is only cutting into my drive time.

At least it's worth the effort. I don't mind it that bad w/ a LBC.

Yeah, I know, I bought the wrong car.

Update: Didn't touch the car all weekend - did get to change the oil on the boat though.

Anyway, drove home from work on Friday after refilling the radiator (it was down about 25%) and nothing. Well, a few drips from the expansion tank overflow but nothing like the stream from the morning. I obviously drove it the same distance and going home involves going up the small hills rather than down. It was also warmer so I am a little confused as to why it did not leak again.

That is what I am worried about. I guess I will be driving it round and round the block until something happens.
