So here I am, after 18 months of building the froggette, ready for its maiden voyage. I've put 12 miles on it so far, but tomorrow, Sunday, I'm off to the Woodland British Car Show, 120 miles round trip. I have a tow car running backup, but who knows, pray for me, and maybe I'll bring you pictures!

Looks great. If the mechanicals are anything like the body, you won't have any problems at all.

Hi all,
Big day for Frogette. She made it fine 120 miles round-trip to the car show. Only concerns were the temp gauge sat on 190-195 all day and the idle was too high at 1200-1500. I need to pull the thermostat and check it out and need stronger springs on the carbs. Oh, and BTW, took 2nd place, 1st place went to a bugeye with a Toyota engine! Thiw was a very high end show with most all very nice cars.
Thanks everyone for all your help on this project, not that I'm done!

Nice BE. All the other BEs had bonnets hinged at the front. People kept asking me why I modified mine!!

Congrats on the good showing. You should be proud of that little car, you did good work.

In fact, you're welcome to come to Utah any time and help me with the Tunebug!

That Triumph 2000 is huge, and a rumble seat on top of that. Thought it was strange the front windsheild is one piece and the rear is a two piece. Did the rear seat & windsheild fold down?

My god, I jumped right up and ran to the garage to see if Miss Agatha was still there.

Yep was, now I see she has a close friend.

I may be a little prejudiced but..how in the heck could a Toyota engined BE beat out your beauty. Call me crazy but
I like mine all Brit.
That is one sweet BE you got there!

The other white BE did have more bling, which was not my intent when I built it. Most all people commented that mine was the most original. It was interesting that 2 of the 4 BEs had the rear bumperettes upside down. I finally got up the nerve to ask them which way was correct, knowing full well that big end is up, as I installed mine. They knew that their way was wrong, but they liked the look! Again, if it didn't look right from the factory, it seems fair game to change it. I am very proud of my outside rear view mirror, in that it gives a reasonable period look, and NO HOLES WERE DRILLED!
Also, the fuse and relay box under the dash is really hidden, unless one knows were to look. The wiring looks original except for the extra wire on the dizzy (Pertronix) and one wire taped off for the horn. I used a control box converted over to electronic, also identical to the original.

Yes,I've seen the Twin Cam BE before and although nice, it's not my style. I voted for your car.

Same thing with my Sprite category. The one with the V6 got first. But many people commented mine was the more original one of the group.

Did you see the cream color gem in the swap meet that was scooped up for $2800? DEAL!!!
