This arrived in my e-mail today, from the Bugeye Barn. Wish I could figure out a way to go... Maybe if I seal up the car really well and add a sail and rudder... hmmm.

-------------------------------------
We are planning a tour of Tasmania for Sprite owners in late February 2011 (most likely 18th February to 1st March).

The tour would leave Melbourne via the Bass Straight ferry and travel around the island in easily managed legs, following interesting roads and visiting the west coast, moving onto Hobart for a few days and then up to the east coast and swinging back to Launceston before returning to the mainland.

We have chosen February as this is the best time to visit Tasmania. The weather is most stable (important to Sprite drivers) and the days are still long. In planning this tour we draw on our long experience of visiting the island state, including a previous Sprite tour in 2007.

Upfront costs will only be the ferry booking, everything else will ne pay as you go. (We will book reasonably priced motels for participants). Everybody pays the same including the organisers!

We already have interest from QLD, NSW and SA and we intend to meet up during the tour with Tasmanian Sprite owners to make it a very cosmopolitan event.

If you would like to know more please email us at bugeyebarn@bigpond.com
