well against the advise of some and others seems it will not matter to much I have painted the front fenders, see pic, and the bonnet has been primed, blocked, wet sanded with 400(again) and I am going to paint it this weekend. I did get some nibs in the clear coat on the fenders but what I have researched so far is next to wet sand with 800 then with 1500 and its feasible to reclear or continue with 3000 on my DA then start buffing out the clear. I figure if I get a paint mixer to attach to my Battery drill and really mix the paint well each time, I really cant see there being that much of a difference in color, But I have been wrong before and time will tell SO on with the Painting. At least this time I had no paint issues, alligatoring, sand scratch swelling etc to I feel better about that

Hi Hondo, glad to see you back at it. How are you getting the paint booth warm enough with it 25 degrees outside.

Don't worry about a color change as not one in 1000 could see a difference, the Roadster was painted over 6 months and several paint mixes and I can't tell any difference and I know which was painted months apart, I did have one batch that was mixed wrong, but that was obvious when it came out of the gun.

You can buff out your mistakes as long as you don't go through the clear. If you have to spot a place or two and you need some advise, give me a call, I'll be glad to help.

I have a heater that I can heat my paint booth up to 100 F if I need to. And I wet sanded one fender last night with 1500 grit and buffed it out and it looks really awsome and yes I will post another pic, so now I am rejuvinated about the project, needed that, not that I was giving up and I cant give up, I took one fender by the paint jobber and his comments were all thumbs up

its WAY better looking in person, Getting happier by the day and the fenders and bonnet no difference in color

yes I did take them out side and they match, some pics were taken with my sony camera and some with my black berry, they look more orange on here but really red in real life
