Hi, Everyone! I just wanted to share a few pix of my Spider that was finally painted and picked up on Memorial Day. Overall, I am pleased with the end result and still smile each time I walk into my garage.

I think it was well worth the wait! Even my husband seems amazed at the difference a little paint can make. So much so that he is actually PUSHING for me to choose new tires  --I'll be coming to you guys for assistance on that really soon! Yipee!
The glossy bumpers? Well, I am not exactly sure what I think of them. I do like them, but they are radically different from the rubber look they had before. Those were a surprise, but they are growing on me. Give a holler and let me know what you think! Oh, and if you have woderful ideas on how to keep a black car clean, please share--I can tell that will be a constant battle!--Monica

Looks great! There isn't much available in 13" tires nowadays. Best bet would be Sumitomo HTR 200 in 205/60/13. Slightly oversized in the width from stock, but same rolling circumference. You can get them from the major tire chains at a very reasonable price. Many wedge owners have gone to 15 or 16 inch wheels in order to have a wider selection of tire choices. Main issue with that route is the rather unique wheel bolt pattern makes finding rims difficult. Standard choice is a minilite stlye wheel in a 15X 7 with an offset of 25mm and 205/50/15 tires.

LOOKS REAL GOOD. I like the glossy bumpers. Much nicer then the dull rubber.

Looks great! To keep it clean, buy a cover and keep it covered when not in use, and those dusters work well for removing loose dust.

ONly way to keep a black car clean is not to drive it! :jester: However, these things are way too much fun not to drive.

And yours looks fantastic. I thought about painting the TR8 black, but opted out. Kinda wish I'd done it now!

i currently have sumito 215/50's on my dhc right now I purchased from tire rack.

Your car looks great! It's a pretty safe bet that had they had the technology when these cars were built, that the factory would have painted the bumpers.

Looks really great. Nice paint and the black/red is always sharp, especially on the wedges.

Lots of interesting cars in that shop.

Thanks, Guys.
You are sweet. The shop in the pix is my car's second home, British Steel. They have done everything MINUS the paint. Paul, there is always something interesting in there--check out the little metro in the background. Cute and has leopard print seats! Tom, I am working on it and will get back to you. --MH
