MGB Biscuit interior in Red MGB??

I happen to be a big fan of the red/biscuit combo myself. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif Here's some pics for you:
These were taken during my restoration effort. As you may notice, there are some missing items (shift boot, etc.) that are now in place. The car's a '69 and it's not an MG color...it's '05 Corvette Precision Red (it's a dark red)Dave

I was gonna ask if you'd take it "back" to BRG after seein' it behind where the heater box was. Good choice. The tan interior/top will be quite attractive, IMHO. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I've been struggling lately between BRG and Pale Primrose. My first car was a '67 MGB in PP and I get a little sentimental every now and then. Just a diversion, though. This particular gal was born to be BRG, and so she shall be once again.

The current MGB was OEW, sprayed "Amana" white when we got it in '88... I vowed then, when it came to the point of rebuild it would go back to the Abingdon colour.
OTOH, my original B was BRG... I redid it the first time in same. Next two times it was reshot in a Ford silver metallic. I thought it would be distinctive. Hey, I was YOUNG. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Red and biscuit is a nice combination, but I'm not sure about painting the rubber bumpers: I've never seen it done well.
Is it easy to convert to chrome bumpers in the US? In England, the Owners Club do a kit for a reasonable price, and it seems to be pretty popular. The other advantage is that you save a lot of weight: the rubber bumpers are heavy.

A good body shop should be able to repair your rubber bumpers and prep them for paint. There are fillers available that can be used for dents, gouges, scratches and general rubber repairs. These fillers are also paintable. Having said that, I must admit that I've never been a fan of painted rubber bumpers on a B. I've seen some that were done nicely. Most of them were dark colored cars, mallard green, black, dark blue, etc. I don't care for bright painted rubber bumpers myself.
