Wow, that's a crazy amount of gear. Many lifetimes of weekend projects in that lot.

I looked at a bunch of TR-3s in Albuquerque, New Mexico about 4 years ago that looked alot like these pictures. Lots of bodies and parts. I have pictures but can not post them on the forum. I have been told that they are still there. I do not have any more information, but maybe somebody in Albuquerque knows where they are. Good Luck, Bill C. Mesa, Az

Wow! Perth Australia, huh? Even if I was the winning bid for a good deal, I can't even begin to imagine what it would cost me to ship all that home to little old Connecticut. That's about as far away as you can possibly get.

Hey Bill, I think I know exactly the spot you're talking about. The guy who owned it took me there about 7 or 8 years ago. I lost his contact info a long time ago. Do you have anyway of getting in touch with him? How did you find out about that lot?

Not as far as you think, and you would be surprised how much can be put into a container. Also, well worth the trip at this time of the year, a nice place to be.

My brother and I loved it. We'd sit in the cars and pretend we were racing at VIR based on the stories Dad would tell. Those 2s and 3s are long gone now, but we have great memories.

Right on! When I was a kid, my dad was restoring an XK-120 coupe and he had a parts car in the back. It had absolutely no interior, but my brother and I used to pretend we were driving it all the time. We would sit on the floor boards. Or what was left of them, to be more precise. I have to assume they kept our tetanus boosters up to date!

How times have changed -- nowadays, it would be hard to imagine a 120 parts car. In fact, years later, when the 120 parts car was in really bad shape, my father put it in Hemmings and a gentleman in England snapped it up and had it shipped over. There was just enough left to restore at what had to have been great expense.

I'm also not sure I'd let my boys play in a rusting old hulk... :eeek:

You've been holding back TR stories on me, Jeremy.

Shame on you!

You have to tell 'em now.
