Properly tuned HS4's.. are they all the same?

The engine I put in the GT, that came out of a '79 had been converted to a set of HIF's, which I gave away. The Carbs that came with the GT when I picked it up were HS4's, but a real old set, AUD-52's which apparently came with the 1962 - 1963 model year. https://www.burlen.co.uk/partList.aspx?carID=10712
The Teglerizer site doesn't even list them at all. https://www.teglerizer.com/mgstuff/SUcarbs.htm
My question is weather a set of these AUD-52's, if I have them rebuilt by someone good, will be just as efficiant as a later model set of HS4's properly tuned? They will also be working on my GT with overdrive, and not a lighter roadster if that makes a differance at all.
So, will I be fine with these or should I upgrade when it is time?

My HS4s work like a champ on my 67 GT. Some of the later HSs have poppet valve butterflies, but can be changed when rebuilding and some of the later one have emmision tubes, but thay can also be eliminated if not using the smog pump. I'm not great with the AUD numbers, so I'm sure someone can chime in on that. I'm getting ready to rebuild a complete set of HS4s complete with manifold, heat shield etc. ( early model ) for sale in the next couple of weeks or so, I would be glad to take yours as a core trade if you're interested in my set once I finish them.
