The nearly perfect off-the-shelf line is diesel fuel return line from most Audi VW cars and parts stores. 3mm re-enforced cloth covered. Not as thick as the original, but more than up to the task. Team up with 3 friends and splurge on a foot.
The same place will have clamps. To make it look very original, use a larger OD hose that has some cloth texture that fits tightly over the 3mm hose. The outer hose can be anything that looks right.
Don't you have a parts store nearby?
Peter May engineering in the UK lists a Steel Braided Oil Pressure gauge hose for £22, I suppose that it replaces the copper line all the way. Might not look original but will last forever, might be worth checking that out or have some place local make you a hose.

Yeahbut... the fuel line you used is NOT able to handle the times if/when the pressure is higher, and the oil hotter than what the fuel line was engineered for. It may last until that happens, but.....

If you are really concerned about originality there is a salvage yard in Ca. that handles all kinds of spridget parts. The name escapes me right now but a short search thru E-bay will come up with one of their auctions. Ask them.
I'll bet they have one and as heavy duty as they were an old one should never fail.
