They are the same for all A-series.
Get a Kent 266 or 276
For real hot street performance go for a 286
The only thing you need to be careful of is the oil pump drive.
From Mini Mania
"The MD266 camshaft from Kent is a brilliant all round performance road cam. Smooth idle, pulls from around 1,200 RPM. Small gain in low end, big increase in med and top end. Unbeatable for genuine fast road use. Rev band 1,200 to 6,500/7,000 rpm."
Pretty sure my cam (for a 1275) came from APT -- Hap took care of that since he's building the motor. I'd suggest giving him a call, Tony, he'd surly be able to offer some advice.
Or you can just call APT directly, I've heard good things about them. I'll be ordering my headers and exhaust from them.

David Anton is grinding me a new pin drive VP-266 which is his version of the Kent 266; it'll take him a couple of weeks to grind & harden it.....Brian @ MiniMania is sending me a set of lightened & hardened lifters (C-AEG579) that have the drain hole in them.
I'm an MGB guy....Getting into unchartered territory building this Midget engine.
"I'm an MGB guy"
Don't worry, you'll soon forget about MGB's once you have a nicely sorted out midget to drive. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
Yep, Pat....Hap confirmed I have a new pin drive oil pump so I ordered a pin drive cam
Man, these things are weird! MGB's don't have anything like this!!
