What is this thing?

I have another thread going about me picking up the car yesterday and have added some pictures, so I do not want to put this singular question within the bulk of that thread. This white plastic knob is attached by a metal rod underneath the dash on the right side of the steering wheel. I have no clue what it is, but I am sure you experts will know right off the bat.

Ha,ha,ha...I'm DEFINITELY NOT cutting on you 111. It just makes me chuckle because you sound exactly like me back in October. I got this MGB and sent lots of photos asking "what is this and what does it do?" It's been a fun learning experience with a lot of great people here. Rock on!

Thanks guys. I guess with no A/C it is better than nothing. However it will be of little help during the brutal heat of our summers.

I wonder how hard it would be to add A/C, and how much it would cost?

THe kit from Moss will NOT work on a rubber bumpered car at this time, if my memory serves me correctly. This does not mean that one cannot adapt a kit to fit one's needs.

That is correct Rick,it won't work on an r/b car. :thumbsup:

If you can spend the time it would be possible to rig something.I am still thinking about it.

its the master switch for an ejector seat that most MGBs incorporated after Goldfinger in 64...

do not touch, unless seriously hassled by occupant.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm sure it will come in handy one day.
