My low budget Bugeye build left me with an untrustworthy motor that doesn’t let me venture far from home so Midget 50 was definitely out and I couldn’t make the all British Meet in Bellevue Wa. Just about 10 min from my house there was a GoodGuys car show I have been going to for years. I took the Bugeye down and I couldn’t believe the response.
The car was mobbed for 3 days. A lot the old guys had stories from school about a Bugeye, the young guys wanted to know what it was and the ladies thought it was so cute. It is so cool watching people walk by a 50K hot rod to go look at the Bugeye the only one in 2,300 cars.
Driving the loop was a trip thumbs up, pictures, nice car it was amazing. The worst thing said about it was one guy called it a Triumph I had to stop and line him out.
The GoodGuys official at the gate thanked me for bringing it.
After 2 years of hard work it gratifying seeing such a positive response.
